Erika Nolan - Executive Director
Erika Nolan began her career in the health care industry as a public relations and marketing executive for a US$3 billion, publicly traded company. She acted as the company spokesperson, directed all marketing strategies and oversaw the integration of new company acquisitions. Ms. Nolan directed a change leadership initiative for Integrated Health Services to improve overall company operations and increase U.S. market share.
In 1998, she was recruited to be the Executive Director for The Sovereign Society, an offshore, asset protection and international finance organization. She has brought with her an extensive knowledge of marketing and operational expertise, which has offered a high record of success. Ms. Nolan travels extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean and Central America.
John A. Pugsley - Chairman
Widely respected for his commitment to freedom, privacy and other libertarian ideals, John Pugsley is one of the Sovereign Society’s co-founders and currently serves as its Chairman. John’s long and successful career in finance and publishing began in 1975 with his personal monthly commentary on economic and political events, Common Sense Viewpoint, which boasted 30,000 subscribers at its peak.
Following his first book Common Sense Economics, which sold 150,000 copies, his second book, The Alpha Strategy, hit the New York Times bestseller list and remained on it for nine weeks in 1981. In 1988 he began a 10-year run publishing the John Pugsley's Journal, an investment and economic newsletter that covered a broad range of political, economic and investment topics. Today, in his capacity as Sovereign Society Chairman, John is continuously discovering outstanding companies around the world that are unknown, suppressed, and, most-often, totally avoided by brokers and advisors.
Eric N. Roseman - Investment Director
Eric Roseman has covered the global markets for 15 years, as both a money manager and investment editor. He recently became the Investment Director for the Sovereign Society. Eric serves as editor for The Sovereign Society's Commodity Trend Alert, an investment alert focusing on commodity based securities. Eric's talents include blending a dozen or more alternative investment funds to produce consistent returns to traditional asset classes and making commodity- based recommendations with huge upside and limited downside.

Robert E. Bauman, JD - Legal Counsel

Robert Bauman is a former Member of the United States House of Representatives from Maryland, (1973-1981). He is also a former federal official and state legislator; Member, Washington, DC Bar; Graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center (1964) and the School of Foreign Service (1959), Washington, DC. Robert currently serves as legal counsel for the Sovereign Society.
He has authored or co-authored Forfeiting Our Property Rights, The Cato Institute, (1995) (with Hon. Henry Hyde); The Offshore Money Manual 2000, Sovereign Society, (1999); The Oxford Club Wealth Protection Series, (1995-00). He also edited Forbidden Knowledge, (Sovereign Society 1999), authored The Complete Guide to Offshore Residency, Dual Citizenship and Second Passports, Sovereign Society, (2000); and has written articles and reviews for The Cato Institute and The New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The Baltimore Sun, The Wall Street Journal, and National Review. Robert has also been interviewed on CNBC for his insights on offshore havens.

Mark Nestmann, L.L.M. - Wealth Preservation and International Tax Planning

Mark Nestmann is a journalist with more than 20 years of investigative experience and a major contributor to The Sovereign Society’s monthly members-only newsletter, The Sovereign Individual. He has also authored over a dozen books and many additional reports on wealth preservation, international tax planning and offshore investing.
Mark serves as president of his own international tax-consulting firm, The Nestmann Group, Ltd. The Nestmann Group provides wealth preservation and international tax planning services from around the globe. Mark is an Associate Member of the American Bar Association (member of subcommittee on Foreign Activities of U.S. Taxpayers, Committee on Taxation) and member of the Society of Professional Journalists. In 2005, he was awarded a Masters of Laws (LL.M) degree in international tax law at the Vienna (Austria) University of Economics and Business Administration.
